I increased the brightness a little so we could see the turtle in the pic.. and yet he is hard to spot. He must have been about 4-5 inches large and quite a bit away from us.
I tried to read up about Turtles, but couldn't figure out what this guy's name might be. He was really tiny, and this pic doesn't give very many details. So I am just going to call him Mr. Acrobat!
I couldn't click this, but underneath Mr. Acrobat, inside the water was another turtle poking his head out periodically. :)
Wish we could carry around cool zoom cameras all the time. Wish cool cameras were less expensive. Wish my cell phone camera could take better pictures. (No, this was not my cell phone camera, but even my best camera is an ordinary point and shoot.) Wish Turtles stood still! Wish I'd at least had the presence of mind to take a video of Mr Camera-Shy Turtle bobbing in and out of the frame...

Hey Priya.. Yes, he really is tiny. And being so dark he easily blends in with the background. Lucky we noticed him! :)
Turtle are a joy to watch. We get to see a lot of box turtles and occasionally a snapping turtle or two.
I wish my camera lens were less heavy. Just the thought of lugging those heavy things around make me compromise on what I would be photographing or DD mostly.

Hey Indo.. I agree. SLRs are not purse-friendly. And what doesn't fit in the pocket is not going to be handy for us to take pics. :(

Same with me. I wish smaller cameras cud take better pics. My bag is usually filled with my baby's diapers, food and what not! Along with the huge camera it looks like a gunny bag!
The turtle is so small and cute! It's a wonder u spotted it!
Hey Aparna! Wow, yes baby items are so bulky. Baby bags are sometimes larger than the baby! :)

I wish my eyes could be a camera - with zoom, wide angle, telephoto etc. :)
I'm going to buy a new one as I lost mine recently - but it's still going to be a point and shoot as I don't want to carry or apply myself to the mental exercise needed to take pix with an SLR.
